The Mifflin-St Jeor equation is considered the most accurate BMR formula. BMR represents the calories burned by vital organs (brain, heart, lungs, liver) at complete rest.
BMR is calories burned at absolute rest (just breathing and organ function). TDEE includes BMR plus all physical activity and food digestion. TDEE is always higher than BMR.
